Untitled #4
Prompt: regular-timeline!Jeff/(not so evil)evil!Britta

"This is degrading," Evil Britta spits as she tugs on her restraints. "I can't believe you tied me up with a jump rope."

"It was the only thing I could find, okay? I wasn't planning on taking hostages today, sorry I left my rope at home." Jeff cranes his neck out of the classroom and peers into the hallway, his gun held out steady. Seemingly satisfied that no one is coming to find them, he closes the door and turns back to Evil Britta.

She waves a hand as much as she's able. "Can you at least let me scratch my nose? I'm not going to run."

"No." He moves closer to her and runs his fingernails over her nose. "Better?"

"I guess," she mutters. "I didn't even want to do this stupid mission. Shoulda stayed home with Abed."

This seems to catch Jeff's attention. He looks pretty good in that suit, Evil Britta has to admit, and it's nice to see him with two arms again. "What do you mean?"

She rolls her eyes. "This whole Evil Study Group thing. It's dumb. Abed was really into it for a while but then he bailed. So when everyone else is out doing evil things he and I go to the movies. There's a Star Wars remake out in our timeline. We were going to throw popcorn at the screen."

"So you're not really evil?"

Evil Britta shrugs. "I mean, I guess. Technically. But not as much as the others. Especially you. Man, once you got a hold of this whole evil thing it was all over. Also, don't tell anyone, but you got really annoying when you started sleeping with Annie."

"Ah." Jeff looks kind of overwhelmed and Evil Britta can't help but feel bad for him. After all, he'd just wanted to graduate and be a decent human being again. "Do you and I ever—"

She groans. "You're all the same."

"You dated Troy, in this timeline," he says. "It didn't work out."

"Can you please untie me?" she asks again, ignoring him. "I'm probably just going to shoot myself with the paintball gun anyway."

"Sorry, I need you for leverage."

"Please," she snorts, "like they're going to come to rescue me. You need to learn to choose your hostages better, really, Winger."

He looks at the door again and sighs. "You won't run?"

"No! I told you that!"

"I'm not going to give you your gun back."

"Fine."

He looses the jump rope and she exhales contentedly, rubbing the rope burn out of her wrists. "Thank you."

He nods and looks at her appraisingly. "I like the blue streak."

"My Jeff makes fun of it."

"Your Jeff is kind of a dick."

"Tell me about it."

She crosses and uncrosses her legs. "Soooo, what do we do now? Just wait? You're not very good at this whole thing, are you?"

"Look, I didn't wake up this morning planning for an evil version of myself to somehow make it here and fuck everything up, okay? I'm trying here."

"Wanna make out?"

"What?" he asks incredulously. "Are you serious?"

She shrugs again. "I already told you, they're not going to come looking for me. And sitting around here is really boring. And you have two arms, which is a pretty appealing quality. That robot arm is creepy and weird."

"You're going to steal my gun while we're kissing, aren't you? You've done that before."

"Like I said, the only person I'd shoot is myself so I can go back. We don't have to do it, I just thought it would be a good way to kill some time. Jeez, Winger, you don't have to look so disgusted."

"I'm not," he says.

That's how Evil Jeff finds them, sprawled out on one of the desks, Jeff's tongue in Evil Britta's mouth. Evil Jeff gives them a look of horror, and it's in that second that Evil Britta manages to kill him. She returns to Jeff's lips with a look of triumph.

Hi guys!!!!!!!!!!! It's less than three weeks until Community season five premieres, less than two weeks until Christmas, and the end of 2013, so let's celebrate with a ficathon!! This was super fun the last time I did it, so I thought we could all hang out and write fic again! (Also I miss reading all of your Community fic! Let's be friends again!)

You all know the drill, but here are some rules :)

  • One prompt per comment, but please, prompt as much as you'd like!!

  • Be polite! Say thank you!

  • No character/ship/whatever bashing!

  • Please remember any necessary warnings/triggers/whatever!

  • Tell your friends!

Anonymous commenting is on, so if you don't have an LJ account or you just feel like being secretive, please feel free to join! (Also I turned off the option that screens anonymous comments so you won't have to wait for me to unscreen the comment before it shows up. Technology!)

I'll try and keep a running list of all the fills with links/titles/ships/characters/all that good stuff so it's all in one easy, accessible place. The last ficathon I hosted had almost 700 comments (WHAT!!) so let's try and beat that!!!! :D

Have fun!!!!

Stranger Things
Jeff/Britta
~4,700 words
It’s a relatively simple idea: they get married so she can have his outrageously good health insurance, then after her surgery and recovery, they quietly get an annulment. People do it every day.

Written for a prompt at the Community Ficathon: "Jeff/Britta, fake-marriage to get health insurance." Then the word count kept going up and up, so I figured it was easier to post here instead of in ten separate Livejournal comments. So thank you to the anon who requested the prompt! I hope you see this :D

As always, I know nothing about a) medicine b) law or c) health insurance. Takes place post-season four but without any season five potential storylines incorporated. Also pre-Affordable Care Act, although Britta wouldn't sign up, anyway :)
